We are a modern, whānau owned and operated construction company specialising in structural foundations. Our team serves the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Auckland regions, and offers a comprehensive suite of expertise with a focus on civil concrete services, commercial formwork and concrete services, precast panel installation and residential driveway and concrete services.
At Silver & Co., you can expect a professional, tailored and collaborative experience. We treat everyone as whānau and strive to deliver a product reknown for it's quality.
In 2021, our first-born son Tukaiaia Uira was born. Crowned with a beautiful ingoa (name) from his Ngāti Wai whakapapa, the Tukaiaia a kaitiaki (guardian) of its people was given as a symbol of leadership, prosperity and life. The perfect ahua (nature) we wished for our son.
Shortly into his life, Tukaiaia had some serious health challenges which made us realise the importance of autonomy over our daily lives and our desire to be with whānau, unlocking a superpower drive to create both freedom and legacy.
From this, we birthed Silver & Co. Te Puao started as a one-man band, which quickly become 2, then 3, then 4, then 20.
Our logo represents all this kōrero (story), with its main symbol being the Tukaiaia, our son. The reason we started and the reason we will never fail. The same attributes we wished for our son we wish for Silver & Co., leadership, prosperity and life.
The three white tāniko (shapes/designs) inside the puku (stomach) of the Tukaiaia represent the past, the present and the future which touches on the legacy piece we longed for. Designs all very prominent in Te Ao Māori. These tāniko reminds us of the values we wish to uphold – sustainability, culture, foundation and legacy. All tightly shaped and held together by the blue tāniko around it. A representation of all other areas of life, from whānau to hauora to community.
The two pillars feeding into the puku of the Tukaiaia represents balance. For us this refers to work/life balance. We are both very passionate and hard-working people, and we knew balance had to be a key value for us to model to our whānau. We strive to provide mahi where whānau really are first, where ‘life’ can happen and not be a problem to employers.
The blue throughout the logo was specifically chosen to represent the wai (water) as both of us are nga tangata o Te Tai Tokerau (people of the North!).
Every time we see this logo we are humbled and proud of our beginnings.
